Mmabatho Mogomotsi                      Executive Director

Mmabatho Mogomotsi is a dramatic arts and drama therapy graduate from the   University of the Witwatersrand (Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts –Honors, Honors in Drama Therapy and  Master of Arts –Drama Therapy).

She was a Council / Board Member of The State Theatre in Pretoria-Tshwane. She was a National Arts Council (NAC) Advisory Panel Member of Theatre and   Musical Theatre.

Mmabatho is also Executive Director at Digital Broadcast Hub, an audio-visual and electronic media production   company.   Mmabatho is a   registered   Assessor of arts , culture and   media qualifications within MICTSETA .

Mmabatho is a professional voice-overt-artist who has recorded many radio commercials, educational radio projects, public service announcements and radio plays.   She is also a seTswana language script translator.

Mmabatho was nominated for the FNB Vita Awards in 2000: Best Supporting Actress in theatre. She is a Winner of FNB Vita Award: Best Supporting Actress 2002 in “SeZar” . She was nominated for The 8th Naledi Theatre Awards in 2011 for the Best Lead Actress in “The Pen” , showcased at the   Market Theatre.   She was Chairperson of the Jury in the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAS) in 2006.

 

Sello Molefe                      Executive Producer

Sello Molefe is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, Bachelor of Arts. Has a post-graduate   diploma, Management Advancement Programme (MAP) from the Wits Business School in 1998.

Sello is interested in the fields of broadcast and   electronic media, the South African Digital Migration roadmap for the   transition into the new Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial (DVBT) era.

He is a former member of the following boards:  (1)  NFVF- National Film and Video Foundation (Department of Arts and Culture) (2) South African Digital Broadcasting Advisory Body (Department of Communications)

He is a qualified and registered (a) SAQA   Assessment Instruments and Guides Designer, (b) SAQA Assessor of   outcomes-based assessments and qualifications, (c) SAQA Moderator of outcomes-based assessments and qualifications.

Sello is a former:- Head of Broadcast and Television at the National Electronic Media Institute of S.A (Nemisa), Senior Manager of Media Classification at the Film and Publication Board. Deputy Director-Audio Visual -Department of Foreign Affairs). News Researcher at SABC. Executive Director at the Independent   Producers Organization). Sithengi Film and TV Market Coordinator & Independent media and television producer.

 

Maanda Ntsandeni                      Production and Training Manager

Maanda Ntsandeni began his career in the media as a Journalist for the award winning investigative news agency, African Eye News Service, working mainly in the areas of human rights and environmental issues before being awarded the scholarship by the National Film and Video Foundation of South Africa to study film and television production in Monash University.

Maanda is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Film Directing.  His documentary films include Shouting Spirits, which has since premiered at the    Tri-Continental Human Rights Festival, Brush, and Legends of the Lake, produced for the Natural History Unit Africa. Until recently Maanda was a producer of documentaries in Etv, one of South Africa’s fastest growing free-to-air TV stations where he was involved in the production of a four part documentary series on Nelson Mandela. He directed his first feature length documentary, Parole Camp which has since won a development price from World View at recent the Durban FilmMart in 2013, part of the Durban International Film Festival. He has also been a resident Documentary Scriptwriter in Africadoc’s Documentary Scriptwriter Resident Programme in both Johannesburg and Saint Louis, Senegal.

As a Production and Training Manager , Maanda is in charge of all the training and production functions of Joburgtv.

He is directly responsible for the development of the learners and Interns , he provides all the digital technical and broadcast requirements for the company.

 

Priscilla Nyoni                      Programme and Development  Manager

Priscilla Ntombizodwa Nyoni is an arts and culture development specialist. She studied Public and Development Management in Arts and Culture at Wits Business School, in 2000 obtained “Student of the Year Award”. She also studied Project Management and Product Development at the same university.

Priscilla managed and curated various craft exhibitions locally and internationally.

She has also facilitated several learning workshops on product development, product evaluation and product design crafts for Ekhurhuleni Metro, Tswane, Sedibeng and West Rand. She has managed craft skills workshops funded by the Germany Ministry of Cooperation. Curated and managed Johannesburg Development Agency’s Craft exhibition at the Bus Factory.

As a Programme and Development Manager , she is in charge of the Internship and Learnership Programmes. She provides learner support, administration and resources function of National Broadcast Institute and Digital Broadcast Hub. She is actively engage in promoting learner and interns success and supporting learner well-being.

She manages and administers Joburgtv’s records of projects. She also manages and administers Joburgtv’s resources to ensure that we deliver on the core mandate of training, development and professional delivery of Joburgtv’s webcast services.
